Tokyo-based BigBaBy moves between software engineering, DJing, and VJing — treating code, rhythm, and light as one practice. He began as a DJ in Japan’s Kansai region in 2019, relocated to Tokyo in 2021, and started performing professionally as a VJ the following year.

Time behind the decks gives him an instinctive read of music and the dancefloor. His work spans house, techno, trance, psytrance, hip-hop and EDM, as well as Japan’s expanding anime-music and otaku club culture. Regardless of genre, he builds visuals tailored to the track, the venue, and the energy in the room.

Built on precise audio-visual sync, his approach makes the dancefloor’s heat visible — drawing the whole crowd into the world unfolding around them. From SUMMER SONIC and ULTRA JAPAN to clubs like ZEROTOKYO, WOMB and CÉ LA VI Tokyo, he has performed at every scale, including shows for international artists in Japan.
